This (Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit) is the only Social Work Department in Kerala in Government undertaking. All other social work training institutions are either self-financing or under the private managements which do not cater to the needs of the ordinary but talented students of lower and middle classes. The students we get in the University are from the middle class families and after studies they are well placed in various social work agencies throughout India and are well appreciated by people of different walks. We are proud to state that our students are getting placed in prestigious educational institutions like NIMHANS Bangalore, IIPS Mumbai, JNU, Delhi University etc for higher studies. The Associations of Trained Social Workers in USA, New Zealand, Australia and UK have also accredited the MSW degree awarded by the University.
